PAYMENT METHODS
"The UK's cheque guarantee card scheme closed on the 30th June 2011. The Payments Council, which is the organisation that sets the strategy for UK payments, had decided to close the scheme following a decline in the use of guaranteed cheques. UK banks will no longer be able to use the scheme to guarantee cheques. This decision will affect every bank and all of their customers who use cheques".
Unfortunately this means we have decided to extend our 7 day rule for cheques, as they will no longer be supported by a cheque guarantee card number for clearance. Duchess Cars will continue to accept cheques for reservation deposits but balances will only be accepted, by cheque, if paid 1 calendar month before the Hire date. (Please see T&C's).
Cash payments can be still made on the day, by prior arrangement with Duchess Cars.
